Some relativly new Devendra news that i have been meaning to post, some contradictory and unconfirmed. But still exciting.

1. A release for the album says: "This new album finds Devendra continuing his extraordinary growth as a writer, vocalist, and musician. Songs like 'Now That I Know' and 'I Do Dig a Certain Girl' among others provide more of the hushed, mysterious acoustic alchemy that delighted listeners on preceding set though the new tunes show still greater artistic depth and delicacy."

2. Devendra has been signed to beggars Banquet here in the USA, and XL Recordings elsewhere. He’s apparently at work on a new album. We are pleased and proud to have the music we release by him on YGR, and it made perfect sense for him to move to a larger label. We reached a certain point where we could simply not keep up with the success he was achieving. We’re a small label, and want to stay that way. So, we wish him the best as he now flies screaming and laughing through the universe! All of his YGR releases of course remain available through this website (as well as in stores)…
