Hi! I just joined the tribe and, like the last poster, am really glad to see that someone started a tribe for DB! Devendra has both an amazing talent and voice. I am looking forward to hearing his new work. I was curious what he is like live. I've heard he doesn't play much of his recorded stuff? Fact or fiction? I am also curious about how comprable his voice is live to his recorded work. Can he hit those really, really high notes live?

Thanks again!

I have had the pleasure of seeing him live twice in the last month, and i don't know where you heard that he doesn't play much of his recorded stuff but in my experience that couldn't be further from the truth. live he is just as amazing as he is on record, with, of course, the added bonus of his wit and general charm. i can safely say he is the most charismatic performer i have seen, the whole crowd seems to be captivated by his presence. Seeing him live also reveals the facial contortions he has to go through to hit those notes. I strongly advise anyone who hasn't already to go and see him at the earliest opportunity.

p.s. thanks to whoever created this tribe!
